Ⅰ. What is copper foil tape?

Copper foil tape is a metal tape, mainly used in electromagnetic shielding, electrical signal shielding and magnetic signal shielding.

Electrical signal shielding mainly relies on the excellent electrical conductivity of copper itself, while magnetic shielding requires the conductive substance "nickel" on the adhesive surface of copper foil tape to achieve the effect of magnetic shielding, so it is widely used in mobile phones, notebook computers and other digital products. 

Ⅱ. The classification of copper foil tape

Copper foil tapes are divided into single-sided and double-sided.

The single-sided adhesive-coated copper foil tape is divided into single-conductive copper foil tape and double-conductive copper foil tape. Conductive; double-conductive copper foil tape refers to the conductive surface of the glue, and the other side of the copper itself is also conductive, so the die-cut tape is called double-conductive or double-sided conductive.

There are also double-sided adhesive-coated copper foil tapes that are used to process more expensive composite materials with other materials. The adhesive surfaces of double-sided adhesive-coated copper foil are also divided into two types: conductive and non-conductive. Customers can choose according to their needs for electrical conductivity.

Ⅲ. Characteristics of copper foil tape

Copper foil has low surface oxygen characteristics and can be attached to various substrates, such as metals, insulating materials, etc., and has a wide temperature range. Mainly used in electromagnetic shielding and anti-static, the conductive copper foil is placed on the substrate surface, combined with the metal substrate, it has excellent conductivity, and provides the effect of electromagnetic shielding.

The purity of copper foil tape is higher than 99.99%, and its function is to eliminate electromagnetic (EMI) interference, isolate the damage of electromagnetic waves to the human body, and avoid the need for voltage and current to affect the function.

In addition, copper foil tape has a good effect on electrostatic discharge after the item is grounded. It has strong adhesion and good electrical conductivity, and we can cut it into various specifications according to customer requirements. Copper foil tape is very versatile.

1. The performance of copper foil tape

It has several properties such as heat preservation, heat insulation, waterproof, good adhesion, good cold resistance, easy to tear, can eliminate electromagnetic interference (EMI), isolate the harm of electromagnetic waves to the human body, and avoid the influence of voltage or current.

Copper foil tape is mainly used in the manufacture of computer monitors, computer peripheral wires and transformers, and is used in central air-conditioning pipelines, smoking machines, refrigerators, water heaters, etc. and other places; during high-frequency transmission, it can isolate electromagnetic wave interference and resist high temperature to prevent spontaneous combustion.
